Background:

Traffic congestion is the worst thing of a city and a nightmare for its residents. The problem is only getting bigger with the increase of population and number of vehicles. However, the ongoing traffic congestion problem can be addressed and eliminated with technology by integrating IoT (internet of things) with the cities’ infrastructure and taking steps to ease traffic congestion.

BCM’s solution to the traffic congestion issue tasked by our customer is integrating the powerful EMS-TGL fanless embedded system into the existing traffic monitoring system.

    By integrating the EMS-TGL system BCM solved all issues our end customers had. The EMS-TGL embedded system eliminated the performance issue by delivering outstanding CPU and GPU performance. The EMS-TGL system allows 5G communication, taking advantage of the ultra-fast 5G technology and decrease data transfer speed allowing faster real time results. The thermal issue the customer has also been eliminated with more efficient hardware in the EMS-TGL system. Lastly, the cost for the customer has been cut down due to our unbeatable prices.

    Background:

    The pharmaceutical industry is one industry that allows zero errors. Any mistake or mishaps can cause illness, money loss, or even worse, death. On top of having zero tolerance for mistakes, the pharmaceutical factories also need high packaging speed. These 2 major factors can be solved with technology by integrating sensors, cameras, powerful computer systems, etc.

    BCM’s solution to this issue tasked by our customer is integrating the powerful EMS-TGL fanless embedded system in the existing packaging line.

    The EMS-TGL standard SKU meets most requirements from the customer except the additional 4 USB 3.1 ports and 3 USB 2.0 ports. Since the EMS-TGL supports BCM’s IET expansion modules, BCM is able to expand the IO ports based on the customer’s requirements by additional USB ports.

    BCM's integration of the EMS-TGL sytem has made it cost effective for our customer. With the low cost, the EMS-TGL does compromise with its performance. The EMS-TGL comes with powerful CPU and GPU performance, more advance than our customer's current solution, while supporting DDR4 DRAM 3200 and NVMe SSD.

    Background:

  • Customer is looking for a computing system for ticket vending machines system with enough IO ports for customer’s exsiting system.
  • End Customer's Requirements:

  • Audio jack for speakers
  • HDMI/DP for touchscreen display
  • USB ports for keypad, touchscreen, and camera
  • Dual LAN port for internet connections and communications
  • 8 COM ports for card reader, printers, coin validator, bill validators, function buttons, card issuing device, contactless debit/credit card reader, and QR code scanner
  • Solution with EMS-TGL + IET Modules (additional 8 COM ports):

    The EMS-TGL standard SKU already meets most of requirements except the system only provides 3 COM ports. BCM's EMS-TGL supports IET expansion modules, which allows us to expand the IO interface by adding additional 8 COM ports plus 2 USB using the IET modules. The flexibile semi-customization solution brings customers with accelerated project development, reduced development cost, and faster quick time-to-market launch. Customer Evaluation in progress.

    Background:

    Customer is looking for a computing system to support the driller’s chair/ drilling control system in oil rig environment. Specific requirements include 3 DisplayPorts, supports CCTV IP cameras, wide temperature and more.

  • 9th Gen. or higher Intel Core i7 or i9 processor (typical 35W CPU)
  • 3 x DP ports (HDMI not acceptable)
  • -20 to 70C operation temp. Fanless operation
  • Wide DC input ( +/- 24V )

    Solution with EMS-TGL:

    The EMS-TGL embedded system was proposed as it provides 3 DisplayPorts and support 3 independent displays. It allows 3 unique software applications to be presented on each display. The system also supports fanless operation and wide temperature, wide range DC-in capable for use at industrial environment. Customer Evaluation in progress.
