RX87Q industrial uATX motherboard is equipped with Intel® Q87 Chipset and LGA 1150 CPU socket supporting the 4th generation 22nm Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 desktop processors, codenamed “Haswell” and “Haswell Refresh”, with integrated HD graphics. The RX87Q features Multi-Monitor support via combinations of two DisplayPort, DVI and VGA outputs allowing the system to run three independent onboard graphics and up to six independent displays by adding an additional graphics card. The board provides rich I/O interfaces including six SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) with RAID, six COM ports, four USB 3.0 and ten USB 2.0 connectors as well as a few legacy connectors, LPT printer port and KB & Mouse, for supporting devices that still require older I/O technologies. The board provides scalable performance and wide range I/O capabilities to fulfill the needs of high-end intelligent computing systems such as medical imaging systems that require high performance, exceptional data transferring capabilities, and extraordinary natively onboard graphics.

In June this year, BCM introduced three Haswell Q87 series based industrial motherboards (IMB) spanning the top IMB form factors including BC87Q (ATX), RX87Q (uATX) and MX87QD (Mini ITX). Each motherboard is equipped with enterprise desktop Intel® Q87 chipset and LGA1150 socket supporting 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7, i5 and i3 processors. The motherboards are also equipped with multiple high-speed SATA III storage interfaces offering up to 6 Gb/s transfer rate to support next-generation SSD and traditional HDDs. With RAID functionality natively supported by the Intel® Q87 chipset and driven by Intel® Rapid Storage Technology, these motherboards are able to support RAID level 0, 1, 5 and 10 which not only optimizes data transferring performance but also provide failsafe backup protections against disk failure making these motherboards ideal for server applications or any intelligent computing system that handles massive data transactions in 24/7 non-stop operating environments such as transaction processing or data centers and hospital imaging systems.

BCM has introduced four new industrial motherboards based on the 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 processors, code named Intel® Haswell, based on the Intel® embedded Q87 and H81 chipset available in various form factors including: BC87Q (ATX), RX87Q (uATX), MX87QD (Mini ITX) and MX81H (Mini ITX).

Platform Features The new Q87 Series motherboards come equipped with socket H3 LGA1150 supporting the 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 22nm process technology with 3D Tri-Gate transistors as well as Pentium® or Celeron® desktop processors with a TDP ranging from 35W to 65W TDP for Mini ITX form factors and 95W TDP for uATX and ATX form factors providing scalable processing power to meet various performance requirements.
