BCM introduces the PPC15-255DR, a sleek, fanless, long life industrial panel PC with resistive touch screen and designed for interactive client solutions, self-service applications, point-of-information terminals, and multimedia Kiosk applications

The BCM PPC15-255DR product replaces the previous PPC15-255D by providing an enhanced sleek design with an IP-65 moisture resistant touch screen. For effective and passive internal cooling, the PPC015-255DR utilizes a sophisticated heatpipe solution versus the previous heat sink which increases the cooling capabilities providing greater stability and higher system performance. Another improvement over its predecessor is replacing the traditional mechanical buttons located on the lower front panel with membrane switch which helps to reduce mechanical failures while offering low power consumption and providing faster responsiveness. For convenient upgradability, the new model has a service panel on the back cover allowing easy access to the storage, memory, and WiFi mini-PCIe connector.

The PPC15-255DR is designed with 15-inch 4:3 XGA TFT resistive touch display offering screen resolutions up to 1024x768 pixels. The computing system is equipped with Intel® Atom™ D2550 processor and Intel® NM10 Express Chipset featuring low power consumption accompanied by enhanced onboard graphics performance comparing to previous Intel® Atom™ processors.
