BCM Advanced Research, a global embedded computing solutions provider, an associate member of the Intel® IoT Solutions Alliance and NXP Semiconductor Proven Partner, introduces its MX170QD mini-ITX motherboard built based on the Intel® Skylake platform. The board is equipped with the Intel® Q170 PCH chipset and LGA1151 socket to support the 14nm Intel® Core™ i7, i5, i3 and Celeron processors delivering high computing performance and triple display support via DisplayPort, HDMI and LVDS interfaces.
Gold Plating Pins
The MX170QD is equipped with gold plated pins for its critical connectors such as memory slots, SATA, PCI Express, power, M.2, and USB 3.0 connectors. Additionally, these connectors are locking type. This combination of gold plating and locking ensures superior high speed signal conductivity, wear and corrosion resistance in tough environments, and that critical connections stay connected.
M.2 and mini-PCIe with mSATA III Support
The MX170QD provides one M.2 and one mini-PCIe expansion interfaces to support full size or half size compact expansion M.2/mini-PCIe modules such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and SSD storage. In addition to the benefit of speeding data transferring rate, these connectors reduce cable management hassle and also enable small enclosure design using the MX170QD motherboard for mobile computing devices or space-constrained applications.

Supports Triple Display
The MX170QD supports three independent displays simultaneously via two DisplayPorts, one HDMI and one 18/24-bit LVDS connectors. These high definition graphic interface supports resolution up to 4096×2160 @ 24Hz for DisplayPort and HDMI and 1920x1200 @ 60Hz for LVDS. Max resolution depends on how many displays are active. The MX170QD supports Intel® Active Management Technology 10 (Intel® AMT). TPM 2.0 hardware based security feature is optional upon customer's request.

The MX170QD is ideal for applications that require high reliability, higher system and graphics performance, and the ability to process multiple complicated tasks simultaneously.
