BC45Q – BCM launches new enterprise class Intel® Q45 ATX industrial motherboard

BCM introduces its latest, full feature, ATX industrial motherboard showcasing the benefits of the Intel® Q45 chipset including 45nm multi-core CPU support, GEN 2 PCIe, DDR3 support, and enterprise class onboard graphics with dual display via DVI and VGA.

BCM is proud to announce the launch of our BC45Q industrial ATX motherboard based on the Intel® Q45 Chipset with onboard GMA 4500 for superior graphics support and DDR3 system memory for faster and more secure data transactions.  BCM’s BC45Q is designed with LGA 775 socket and the Intel® Q45 Express Chipset/ICH10DO architecture to support next generation 45nm Multi-Core high performance desktop processors such as the Intel® Core™ 2 Quad, Core™ 2 Duo and is compatible with Intel® 05B/05A/06 processors. When the Q45 Chipset couples with the Core™ 2 processor family, the overall system performance is significantly increased through optimized bandwidth up to 1333 MHz FSB. The BC45Q also provides four DIMM slots and support DDR3 800/1066 MHz up to 8 GB system memory optimized for   multitasking environments. The BC45Q also supports Intel® vPro technology for enhanced security, manageability and energy efficiency meeting the requirements of the BC45Q’s target industries including enterprise security systems such as those used in major transportation depots, incoming automated cargo inspections, high pedestrian traffic areas, and border security.   

The BC45Q features the Intel® GMA 4500 onboard graphics delivering an excellent blend of graphics performance and outstanding 3D video rendering required by the target industries for the BC45Q motherboard addressing a key lifecycle concern often tied to third party graphic engines with limited lifecycles. This motherboard supports dual display capabilities via DVI output up to 2048 x 1536 resolutions and VGA up to 2560 x 1600. The BC45Q also offers iAMT 5.0 support enabling IT engineers and technicians to remotely monitor, diagnose, upgrade, and maintain their systems to increase response time and reduce the system down time.

As a flagship industrial product, the BC45Q is feature rich with both current and legacy support required by embedded customer including IDE, Floppy, LPT, two COM ports, twelve USB ports, five SATAII connectors with RAID support, one eSATA port providing 3 Gb/s data speed, built-in AMP and GPIO connectors.  To allow for maximum expandability it has four PCI slots, two PCIe x16 slots (one with x4 performance), and one PCIe x1 slot.
