BCM Advanced Research A Leading Industrial Computing Provider Since 1990
MX3150N Braswell mini-ITX Motherboard
BCM introduces its MX3160N mini-ITX and ESM-BSW COM Express module using the new Intel® Celeron® N3160 Quad-Core Processor

BCM Advanced Research, a leading company of industrial motherboards and systems since 1990, and an associate member of the Intel® Internet of Things Solutions Alliance, today announced the release of its MX3160N mini-ITX and ESM-BSW COM Express module designed with the latest Intel® Celeron® processor N3160 SoC. Both of these embedded board products provide our OEM and ODM embedded customers in the gaming, medical, and retail industries with quad-core CPU performance, exceptional Gen 8 HD Graphics supporting up to 4K resolution with up to three independent displays, and an industry leading low power consumption to performance ratio.

The new Intel® Celeron® processor N3000 product family is built on Intel’s 14nm technology, and based on the 64-bit Airmont processor architecture. The processor transforms display-oriented devices with twice the graphics performance and with simplified integration when compared to the previous generation, offering a low thermal solution and a new standard for smart computing power at the right price. “The release of our MX3160N mini-ITX motherboard and ESM-BSW COM Express module helps us to fill an important gap with OEM customers looking to maximize performance on a very thin power and thermal budget”, said Tom Skibinski, Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing at BCM. “The N3000 product family provides a solution to our medical, gaming, and retail OEM customers not available in our previous product portfolio”, added Skibinski. The latest Intel® Celeron® N3160 processor optimizes cost and footprint with a single cooling solution and low thermal envelope. “These features enable BCM to help fulfill the requirements of industrial tablets requiring great graphic performance, low power for mobility, and a thin profile for ease of use and portability”, continued Skibinski.

“The Intel® Celeron® N3160 processor brings a lot to the table for our Internet of Things ecosystem partners looking for IOT tablet solutions without sacrificing features or performance,” said Jonathan Luse, IOTG senior product line director, Intel. “With this new technology, BCM will be able to provide its customers with next-generation smart computing features required by niche applications.”
