BCM Advanced Research, a member of the Intel® Embedded Alliance, is proud to announce the pre-launch of its Intel® Q57 based industrial ATX motherboard – the BC57Q.

The BC57Q is based on the LGA1156 socket H with the Intel® Q57 Express Chipset architecture. This is a new revolutionary Single-chip design which is a follow-on to the traditional two-chipsets solution by integrating the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and the memory controller into the Intel® Core™ i7, i5 and i3 desktop processors while combining the other functionality of the North and South bridges into one single Controller Hub. This repartition of the processors and chipsets has a new platform terminology called the Platform Controller Hub (PCH), providing a Turbo Boost feature and Hyper-Threading technology that enables greater performances and system improvements over the previous generations.

The BC57Q industrial ATX motherboard provides four DIMM slots to support up to 16 GB dual channel DDR3 system memory. Dual display is supported via onboard DVI-D and VGA video outputs and optional HDMI through add-on card. The BC57Q offers rich expansions including one PCIe x16, one PCIe x4, one PCIe x1 and four PCI slots supporting 720p, 1080i and 1080p HD videos through the add-on interface. Two Gigabit LAN interfaces, controlled by the Intel® 82578DM and 82583V Ethernet chipsets, are provided on the rear I/O port. The motherboard also offers five SATAII and one eSATA port with 3/Gbs data transferring speed. Fourteen USB 2.0 and optional two USB 3.0 with 5.0 Gb/s super-speed connectors are supported as well. There are also four RS-232 serial ports and one Floppy pin-header providing legacy support.

The BC57Q provides many built-in Intel® advanced technologies including the Intel® vPro Technology, Intel® Active Management Technology 6.0 (iAMT 6.0), Intel® Anti-Theft Technology, Intel® Trusted Execution Technology, Intel® Virtualization Technology, Intel® Rapid Storage Technology, and Intel® Rapid Recovery Technology. The known Trusted Platform Module 1.2 (TPM 1.2) is also supported for security enhancement. “When equipped the Intel® Q57 Express Chipset and powered by the Intel® Core™ i-series processors, the BC57Q becomes an Intelligent and powerful computing system which will fulfills the needs of major performance hungry industrial applications such as medical imaging, industrial automation, and advanced surveillance systems”, said by Tom Skibinski, the VP of Sales and Marketing at BCM.

The BC57Q industrial ATX motherboard will be deliverable in July, 2010. For more product and pricing information, please contact us at BCMSales@bcmcom.com
