New Products BOX266-PS

Irvine, CA– September 9, 2005 – BCM Advanced Research announced the release of the BOX266-PS barebones system. The BOX266-PS is built around a BCM MX266 Embedded ITX motherboard which features a VIA 1Ghz Eden low power CPU, on board 24 bit dual channel LVDS flat panel support through the use of a VIA 1631 graphics controller and 2 LAN connectors (10/100 and 1000.) The MX266 also offers a compact flash socket for storage, up to 1GB RAM, 2 IDE and dual S-ATA channels with support of RAID 0, 1 or 0+1.

The BOX266-PS chassis is a small foot-print (11”W X 9”D X 3.8”H), heavy duty steel case which will allow up to 2 HDD and 1 slim CD ROM drive. Available external ports include 2 PCI slots, 4 USB 2.0 connectors, 2 DB9 serial ports, 1 DB25 parallel port, 1 DB15 for VGA output, 1 PS/2 mouse connector and 1 PS/2 keyboard connector.

The universal power supply will support AC100V~240V, 50Hz~60Hz and meets UL, CE, TUV and NEMKO (CB report) standards. The power supply has a output rating of 150W, (+3.3V & +5V = 85W maximum.)
