In July 2007, BCM released our first Intel Q965 Express Chipset Micro ATX motherboard – the RX965Q. Beginning in September, we will have it in stock!

The RX965Q utilizes Intel’s Q965 Express Chipset and ICH8DO I/O Controller Hub.  It was designed with many features that make this board perfect for small, medium and large business office use.

The RX965Q supports the Intel Core 2 Duo CPU with Virtualization Technology in the LGA 775 socket with FSB up to 1066 MHz. With an updated Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH), this board supports dual-channel DDR2 system memory at 800 MHz for great platform performances.

The RX965Q offers onboard video support via the Intel GMA 3000 with Dual Independent Display., This delivers rich visual colors and picture clarity for the performance needs business users. This feature is also selected to handle advanced operation systems such as Microsoft Windows Vista. There are both PCI Express x16 and x1 slots on the board to support the latest high-performance graphics card in case there are demands for intensive graphical processing. An ADD2 card (via the PCIe slot) can be used to expand any user’s visual workspace to an LVDS panel, TV, or other display devices.

Integrated with the Intel 965Q chipset, one of the greatest features the RX965Q provides for business users is the built-in out-of-band management capabilities.  Intel’s AMT feature allows the MIS or IT professionals to remotely control the systems after OS failures and even enable virus protections from other networks. The RX965Q has six SATAII connectors, providing the flexibility to add many hard drives that operate at a transfer rate at 3.0 Gb/s,. It also supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5 and 10 for data reliability, traction, or maximum storage performance for intensive applications.

Other features include 8-channel HD audio, providing premium digital sounds. Up to 8 USB ports are provided for other input and out put devices. There is also a gigabit Ethernet LAN port provided as well for optimal internet and networking communications.
