The NX510D features the Intel® Atom™ D510 processor, a new generation of the Atom™ family released in Q1 2010. The NX510D provides improved 1.66 GHz dual core processing performance with Hyper-Threading technology while maintaining less than 15 watts TDP.
The NX510D is paired with the Intel® ICH8M I/O Controller Hub with integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 providing improved graphics when compared with previous-generation entry-level computing systems. The Intel® GMA 3150 graphics engine supports 384MB video memory, DirectX9, and Intel® Clear Video HD Technology. It also enables the dual display capability through 18-bit LVDS (maximum resolution up to 1280 x 800 or 1366 x 768) and VGA output (with excellent resolution up to 2048 x 1536) and is ideal for small footprint systems driving large size display monitors such as digital signage applications like airport flight information displays.
The ultra low-power, small form factor, NX510D Nano ITX is an ideal solution for small footprint and portable systems running on battery power or applications that require 24/7 operation to such as security DVR systems to minimize power consumption and electricity bills. Other ideal applications include Kiosks, industrial control systems, compact desktop computing, or small all-in-one panel-pc with touch screen capability.
The NX510D is designed based on Intel®’s new revolutionary two-chip layout architecture. By migrating the Northbridge features into the CPU and Southbridge, the platform enables 70-80 percent space saving of the motherboard allowing additional features to be added as well as enabling better routing and better heat flow making a passive thermal solution possible.
